Nina is currently a junior studying chemical engineering at the University of Minnesota, with minors in bioproducts engineering as well as cultural studies and comparative literature. She has worked as a research assistant in the Ubbink Lab since May 2024. Her work has focused on studying phase transitions in dairy powders with the goal of increasing powder stability, focusing on whey permeate powder and lactose powders. In her free time, Nina plays the flute in the University of Minnesota pep band, and she enjoys going for walks, baking and cooking, reading, and taking care of her aquarium.
