Cecia Flores Sanchez

Cecia Flores completed her B.S. in Chemical Engineering at National Autonomous University of Honduras. She worked in the food factory as a quality control supervisor. Cecia joined in Ubbink's research group in the Spring of 2023, where her research is focusing on developing the understanding of phase behavior, molecular organization, and physicochemical analysis of meat analogues. She had joined a project focused on phase mapping of pea protein isolates for the use in extruded meat analogues. Her main goal is to purse her master's degree in food science. Outside the lab, she loves cooking for her friends and family. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with friends.
